Abrupt changes in weather: is the hair dryer on low Genoa

Now they are so over, the very mild November days and nights. The change was rather abrupt, as the diagram with the temperature profile over the last 3 days shows. Altdorf in Glarus and the change from Sonnenschein, hair dryer and a temperature of 20 degrees was carried out within to muddy conditions with snow 30 and 36 hours (Where in Altdorf's has only snowed briefly):

responsible for this was once again a deep Genoa, which has triggered a counter-current situation. With the exception of the significantly weaker Bise, weather conditions were almost exactly the same as for the onset of winter in late October :

The participating air masses, however, were 1 to 2 degrees colder. In addition, the precipitation cooling worked better (more intense rain and less wind), so it still has many places for some snow (slush) to quite down enough. See also the Report of MeteoSwiss .
